UNCHECK "Deactivate When Not Showing" (this way the camera won't shut off, will be guaranteed to load when switching scenes, and will load instantly) They all work when plugged into USB Hubs, as long as each USB hub is plugged into a seperate USB port on my computer. The very simple fix was: MAKE SURE EVERY CAMERA IS PLUGGED INTO A DIFFERENT USB PORT. If you have two identical cameras rename one of the devices in the registryįor me, none of these things worked. Loading Camera(s) > Shut down & restart OBS and it magically appears Right-Click Camera (source or scene depending on where you embedded your camera) > Properties > Video Format > set to MJPEG Right-Click Camera (source or scene depending on where you embedded your camera) > Properties > "Deactivate When Not Showing" Allowing camera(s) through firewalls / virus software (especially the bit defender problem) There's a lot of information all over the web about the problems with OBS not seeing cameras, especially when using multiple cameras. Camera / Multiple Cameras Not Showing Up in OBS - NOT Bit Defender NOT "Deactivate When Not Showing" Update 2): I have tried using the windows 10 camera app as well as Google Handouts, so the camera does work, but I think something is not set right, or something is blocking the webcam to being used. I have also been in contact with Mirillis Action! to do the following steps: 1) uninstall Action!. I also have the same problem with my other recording software (Mirillis Action!), but the webcam works fine when I test it in my Logitech Gaming Software. OBS can see the webcam, but it doesn't let it work. When I go into my sources, and add a "video capture device", the device is colored red, as well as the FPS and the Video Format. Hardware decoding is preferable in either the Nvidia NVENC or AMD APP as this takes the work from the CPU and directs it to the GPU, usually producing a much smaller file size.This problem has popped up recently (ever since the latest windows 10 update). The formats available are AVI, MP4 and GPU hardware decode for either AMD or Nvidia. You can record in a variety of FPS (frames per second) between 15 and 120 fps, but the norm nowadays would be 1080p at 60 fps, which is great for YouTube videos. Not only that, but the HUD also shows free disk space and since the HUD can be visible during recording, it’s handy to know how much space is actually being chewed up on your computer. The default save location for screenshots and videos can be changed if you’re running low on disk space and a handy indicator is shown just below your saved work, showing available disk space for saving. I really like the handy video thumbnails that are shown on the left, giving you all the necessary information such as duration, resolution and size on disk. The menu bar at the top opens to a further menu bar underneath and all the options can be changed quickly in easy-to-understand options, unlike some other game recording programs that are far more complicated to use than they need to be. The interface of Action! in the new V2.xx version has been completely overhauled and is clean, very intuitive to use and gives you complete control over the program. I’m not being sponsored by Mirillis in any way, but seeing as this is a program I use almost every day (like the venerable Snagit), a major update such as this is worth shouting about. I was so impressed with the program that I bought it on special offer at Steam a few months ago and am happy to say that it’s the best screen recording software I have ever used by a very wide margin.
