Using the belt, you can lift the drum up and out of the dryer. You do this by pushing the smaller pulley in and slipping the belt off of the pulleys. Now that you have the dryer open, you can reach in and disconnect the pulleys. Disconnect the Pulleys and Remove the Drum While undoing the bottom screws, undo the wiring to the moisture sensor in the bottom right corner of the dryer. There are four screws at the top and two at the bottom. The bulkhead is the frame that helps hold the drum in place. Next, you can undo the six screws holding the bulkhead on. Then, you can undo the door harness (the little wire bracket at the top of the dryer). You should now be able to remove the front of the dryer and pull it up and out. Then undo the three screws on the front of the dryer behind the door. Now, undo the four screws at the front of the top of the dryer. Pop open the lid and reinsert the screws to prop open the lid without disconnecting the wires. Once you have disconnected the dryer from its power source, remove the screws at the top of the back of the dryer that secures the lid.īe sure to set the screws aside in a small container so that you can find them again. You may need a set of pliers to undo the clamp securing the vent to the dryer. Now, you will need to disconnect the vent hose. I called the service hotline and they estimated the standard fee of $300 USD to repair.
